Profile

Ten years, three banks, one recurring brief

I'm a Technical Project Manager and front-end architect with 10+ years delivering enterprise-scale digital products across OCBC, UOB and Thales. I lead cross-functional Agile teams, define frontend architecture, and mentor engineers while modernising legacy platforms — most often taking systems from ASP.NET to React.js and TypeScript.

I partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects and QA to turn business requirements into scalable solutions, and I've been an early adopter of AI-assisted engineering — using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf and Codex to speed up development, testing and documentation.

GWB Modernisation — Online Equities Trading Platform

  • Architected and led end-to-end frontend development of OCBC's flagship Online Equities trading platform for premium GWB banking customers.
  • Directed a frontend team of 8–9 engineers; defined system architecture in collaboration with iOCBC, OSPL and GWB cross-functional teams.
  • Delivered on schedule, driving measurable growth in equities trading revenue and user adoption.
  • Recognised with the Spot-On Award (2025); commended by the RDC Director, Platform Lead and Tribe Lead.
Regulatory

T-Bills, SG Bonds & Savings Bonds

  • Played a full-stack role in a high-impact MAS regulatory project covering T-Bills, SG Government Bonds, Singapore Savings Bonds, Retirement Portfolio and SRS Contribution.
  • Architected batch job scheduling using Java Spring Boot and Control-M for end-to-end regulatory processing.
  • Awarded both the Spot-On Award and the CEO Award 2023 for strategic delivery.
Migration

Government Module Decommission

  • Led re-engineering of the Government Module (Retirement Portfolio, SRS Contribution, CFP Board Refund, Corporate Actions) from legacy ASP.NET to React.js/TypeScript.
  • Became the most-used feature in OCBC Internet Banking in 2024, serving MAS, Premium and Corporate Banking customers.
  • Delivered measurable improvements in system efficiency, scalability and user experience post-migration.
Migration

Back Office Decommission — Unit Trust Module

  • Led migration of the Unit Trust module from legacy ASP.NET to React.js/TypeScript as part of the Back Office modernisation initiative.
  • Resolved long-standing performance bottlenecks, improving operational efficiency for internet banking staff.
Product

Money Management 2.0

  • Led the frontend team to redesign the Money Management module, enabling spending tracking and budget creation for OCBC customers.
  • Provided architectural guidance to the MFE team, standardising React.js patterns across the micro-frontend ecosystem.
